Position Description
The role of the Technical Services Department encompasses all aspects of technical support related to the Engine Overhaul and Component Repair activity.
The advertised position is considered to be company critical and is based in Xiamen, China.
The post is offered on a contractual (minimum 3 years) basis.
What You'll Do
This role would include, but not limited to:
- Advising and providing instructions in response to technical assistance requests raised by production departments.
- Raising and forwarding technical queries to OEM product support, managing those requests to achieve a timely reply.
- Reviewing in service engine performance, configuration data (SBs) and customer requirements to develop workscopes to achieve performance expectations.
- Evaluating and recording engine / component defects in a technically recognised and acceptable form allowing transmission of information to the OEM or operators technical departments in an effective manner.
- Undertaking regular activities including, but not limited to,
(1) Engine Induction Meeting (work package review)
(2) Engine condition report compilation
(3) MRB review
What You'll Need
- At least 8 years’ experience within a powerplant engineering/technical department, ideally MRO based or airline.
- In depth knowledge of engine structure and performance, ideally GE90 -115 or other similar wide body engines.
- In depth understanding and application of authority required standards and practices such as EASA Part 145, CAAC AR145.
- Prior experience with on wing trend analysis and condition monitoring an advantage.
- Experience dealing with OEM and customer technical teams.
- Ability to review and support the technical audit of USM and rotable material
- Excellent command of written and spoken English is essential, Bulats Grade B2, preferable Grade C1.
