HAECO Vietnam is a joint venture with Sun Group, Toyota Tsusho and Japan Airlines to establish a new maintenance facility at Van Don International Airport in Vietnam.

 

Position Description

Accountable for Vietnam local IT operations, helpdesk functions, project delivery, and cybersecurity governance, ensuring the stability and availability of IT infrastructure and effective service delivery. Manages project delivery, oversees internal support teams and outsourced vendors, and enforces compliance standards in alignment with local business needs and Group strategy, driving operational excellence, business continuity, and digital transformation.

What You'll Do

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Accountable for end-to-end management of Vietnam local IT operations, ensuring infrastructure stability, system availability, cybersecurity governance, and service quality in line with Group standards.
  • Lead and govern in-house and outsourced IT teams, ensuring SLA compliance, vendor performance, cost efficiency, and operational discipline.
  • Own delivery of IT projects, infrastructure deployments, cloud initiatives, and digital enablement aligned with Group IT strategy and local business priorities.
  • Enforce IT governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, including cybersecurity controls, data protection, audit readiness, and business continuity.
  • Act as the primary IT partner to local business stakeholders and Group IT, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and effective issue resolution.
  • Own local IT financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.

Key Duties

  • Manage daily IT operations covering infrastructure, networks, systems, cloud platforms, and end-user support.
  • Manage outsourced helpdesk and local vendors, ensuring service quality, SLA adherence, and continuous performance improvement.
  • Plan and deliver IT projects, including system implementations, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure expansion.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, including endpoint security, identity and access management, vulnerability management, and incident response readiness.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and audit requirements.
  • Act as IT budget cost owner, providing accurate cost analysis, forecasts, and inputs for annual budgeting and planning.
  • Monitor IT service performance and user satisfaction, driving continuous improvement in service delivery and user experience.
  • Lead change management, user training, and digital adoption activities in collaboration with business teams.
  • Coach and develop IT staff and vendors, building technical capability, accountability, and a high-performance culture.
  • Identify emerging technologies and cloud opportunities to improve operational efficiency and support business growth.

What You'll Need

1. Functional and other Relevant Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of IT experience, with at least 6 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, operations, cybersecurity, and service delivery in a complex or multi-site environment.
  • Strong experience in vendor management, contract governance, and outsourced service models.
  • Hands-on experience delivering IT projects and managing system transitions.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity operations, risk management, and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, data protection laws).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Professional certifications preferred: ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management, infrastructure technologies, cybersecurity governance, and enterprise security controls across on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Fluency in Vietnamese and English/Mandarin; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with the Vietnam IT infrastructure landscape, data security, and regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
