Position Description
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products and systems. This role involves designing and implementing quality assurance processes, conducting automated testing and analysis, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
What You'll Do
· Develop and implement quality assurance processes and standards for software development projects.
· Design and implement automated regression test plans and test scripts for digital products and their data pipelines.
· Document and report test results, defects, and any other quality-related findings.
· Collaborate with software developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues and ensure delivery of high-quality software.
· Continuously improve and optimize quality assurance processes and methodologies.
· Stay up to date with industry best practices and new technologies related to software quality assurance.
· Work closely with project stakeholders including Product Owner, Data Engineer and Software Engineer to assist with quality issues in agile methods
· Use the expertise in test automation to help the teams to standardize and speed up the regression on digital products and their data pipelines
· Delivering quality reports to project stakeholders
What You'll Need
· Over 5 years working experience in test automation area
· Design and implement automated regression test plans and test scripts for our digital products
· Design and implement comprehensive test plans and test scripts for data pipelines, covering functional, performance, integration, and regression testing is an advantage
· Proven track record of implementing automated test projects
· Bachelor’s degree holder in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
· Familiar with one or more automated test tools, such as CodeceptJs，Selenium，Cucumber，Playwright，WebdriverIO, etc.
· Good programming skills with JavaScript, Python, Java
· Good knowledge in SQL and YMAL
· Good knowledge in Microsoft Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, PowerBI, etc. is an advantage
· Experience in building up automated test tool and CICD is an advantage
· Experience in performing data quality assessments like identifying data inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and incompleteness in data products is an advantage
· Fluent in English, Cantonese is an advantage
