Position Description
The [Data Analytics Manager] leads HAECO Group’s data analytics initiatives by translating business needs into actionable insights and innovative solutions. This role provides expert guidance on data analytics, leveraging advanced techniques such as machine learning and artificial intelligence to address complex challenges and uncover new opportunities. Working in close partnership with all HAECO business units, as well as Group Digital and IT, the Data Analytics Manager ensures that data-driven strategies are effectively implemented to maximize business value. Through collaboration, technical leadership, and a focus on continuous improvement, this position is instrumental in driving HAECO’s digital transformation and maintaining a competitive edge in the aviation industry.
What You'll Do
- Work with stakeholders including the executive, product, data engineer and software engineer teams to assist with data-related technical issues and prioritize business and information needs
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing AI solutions, BI business data models and reports
- Locate and define new business decisions, process improvement opportunities
- Provide collaboration, communication, leadership for data architecture standards and guidelines
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Work with data architect and data engineer, data analyst to develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, data model and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Collaborate with different IT teams to ensure alignment on technical direction and leverage common approaches and best practices
What You'll Need
1. Technical Experience
- Over 8 years of IT experience, with a strong background in solution design, project delivery, and system integration
- Proven ability to develop solutions and make sound decisions for a team with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams, including effective coaching and mentoring.
- Skilled in performing root cause analysis on both internal and external data and processes to answer business questions and identify improvement opportunities
- Hands-on experience architecting and delivering solutions using the Azure Data Analytics platform, including Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Functions, Storage, SQL Database, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, and Logic Apps (preferred)
- Experience in the aviation industry is an advantage
- Experience with Microsoft GPT, Qwen, Llama, or similar platforms in custom AI agent development is a plus
2. Other Qualifications
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certification in Microsoft Azure Data Analytics, PowerBI, or similar technologies is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure and proactively address challenges.
- Strong team player with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated individual able to work independently with minimal supervision and deliver projects from inception.
- Highly passionate about emerging technologies, motivated, and demonstrates rapid learning capability.
