Position Description

The UX/UI Designer plays a key role in creating the digital experiences of our users by crafting engaging user experiences (UX) and designing intuitive graphical user interface elements for HAECO HK’s digital products and services. The incumbent will focus on delivering innovative, user-centric solutions that drive usability, accessibility, and the satisfaction of both internal users and external customers.

What You'll Do

User Experience (UX)

  • Conduct user research (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing, analytics) to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points.
  • Organize and participate in workshops for journey mapping and requirement gathering to design seamless user workflows and navigation.
  • Translate user requirements into actionable design solutions that align with business goals.
  • Develop information architecture (IA) to structure content for improved accessibility.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups to visualize ideas and validate design concepts.
  • Conduct usability testing, gather user feedback, and refine designs to improve functionality.
  • Iterate designs based on continuous feedback to align with user expectations.
  • Collaborate with the product team to define product direction, design, and requirements.
  • Stay updated on UX/UI trends, tools, and best practices, applying them to enhance design quality.

User Interface (UI)

  • Design visually engaging and user-friendly interfaces that balance aesthetics with functionality.
  • Create and refine design elements such as typography, color palettes, graphics, menus, widgets, and buttons.
  • Ensure designs are responsive and optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and other Designers to integrate UX/UI design seamlessly into the product development lifecycle.
  • Maintain design consistency and scalability through design systems and guidelines.

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 5 years of UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or similar).
  • Expertise in creating intuitive interfaces, navigation flows, wireframes, prototypes, and user-centric UI designs.
  • Experienced with design tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Dreamweaver) and Figma.
  • Proven knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Proficient in user research methodologies (e.g., interviews, surveys, and usability testing) to prioritize user needs.
  • Experienced in conducting usability tests and integrating feedback into iterative design processes.
  • Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua, to effectively convey design ideas and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile development environments is preferred.
  • Strong sense of ownership, with pride in your contributions and designs.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
