Position Description

Reporting to Head of Section (Avionics) to provide solution for technical problems raised by customers and maintenance staff. Liaison with aircraft manufacturers with respect to design and technical support matters. Providing technical assessment of Type Certificate Holder / component Service Bulletins and other manufacturers’ advisory literature, as well as that of the regulatory authorities Assisting Production departments when necessary in preparing technical reports / documents related to all aspects of overhaul and maintenance of aviation systems. To provide supervision to junior staff. 

What You'll Do

  • To provide evaluation, design and improvement of base maintenance operation procedure as required.
  • To evaluate and assess capability on potential Structural modifications and to keep Production informed.
  • To provide technical support and solution for Structural and interior Technical Assistance Request (TAR) handling to the Maintenance Division.
  • To assist Head of Section (Avionics) in the preparation of analysis related to Hangar support work performed in maintenance.
  • Assessing modification necessary on customer’s aircraft for which HAECO has technical responsibility.
  • Development and verification of structural modification, repair schemes and repair instruction within the terms of the Design Approval issued to HAECO.
  • Assisting Production departments when necessary in preparing technical reports related to all aspects of maintenance matters.
  • To assist mitigation of the safety and sustainability risks of COE projects
  • Identify, evaluate, and provide solution to technical and non-technical problems during aircraft hangar input: Review Technical Data such as AD, SB, CMM and SL etc. 
  • Coordinate and interact with production, customers, aircraft manufacturers and vendors for technical and non-technical disposition
  • Establish and maintain good business relationship with production and customers
  • Prepare repair proposal/document/report to customer, OEM and vendor
  • Aircraft hangar input progress monitoring
  • Required cross-functional project participation within department and company
  • Any other duties as assigned
  • Able and willing to work overtime and shift as required.

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience in aircraft maintenance or related discipline. Experience in airline engineering is an advantage.
  • Experience to prepare aircraft structural drawing/repair/engineering order.
  • A tertiary education from a recognized university with major in electrical, electronics, aeronautical, mechanical or other relevant engineering disciplines.
  • Advance computer software knowledge and sound engineering drawing skills with the aids of AutoCAD and /or Solidworks etc.
  • Sound business acumen and strong project management skills, have experience in aircraft project is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good team player.
  • Ability to work under pressure with good decision making.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
