Technical Services Engineer, Tooling Management (6-month contract)

Position Description
Directly responsible to Head of Section (Tooling Management). The Engineer is responsible for engineering support for tooling issue to maintenance division, handling tooling related projects and to be completed satisfactory within the specified time scale and budget allowance.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical support to the Maintenance Division staff.
- Liaison with customers on technical matters.
- Organize and monitor tooling-related projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Coordinate with aircraft manufacturers, airlines, and tooling OEMs on related matters.
- Review, develop, and update internal tooling policies and instructions to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Prepare engineering documents in compliance with the company and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support to the Maintenance Division staff on tooling-related issues
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their technical issues and provide comprehensive solutions
- Identify tooling deficiencies through thorough inspections and provide detailed feedback to relevant stakeholders
- Evaluate the need for new aircraft tools and make well-justified recommendations to enhance operational efficiency. Establish the necessary capabilities and processes for introducing new aircraft types
- Review, develop, and update internal tooling policies and instructions to guarantee regulatory compliance
- Assist the Head of Section in preparing tooling-related evaluations, documents, and project.
- Able to identify, evaluate, and provide solutions to both technical and non-technical tooling issues
- Organize and oversee tooling-related projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. Contribute to cross-functional projects within the department and across the company
- Liaise with Regulatory Authorities on aircraft tooling matters to ensure full compliance with applicable regulations
What You'll Need
- Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Experience in tooling evaluation/ tooling management is preferable.
- Good supervisory abilities.
- Good interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
- Sound project management skills.
- Ability in spoken and written English.
- Tertiary degree in engineering or relevant discipline.
- Familiarity with MS Excel, and Power BI applications is preferable.
- Candidates with less experience and skills be considered for Assistant Engineer.
- Candidates with fewer qualifications be considered for Assistant Engineer.
