Senior Analyst, Group Corporate Finance

Position Description
Reporting to Head of Group Corporate Finance, job holder will be responsible for creating financial models, analysing financial data and providing support for executing strategic projects for HAECO Group. The job holder will also be responsible for coordinating initial integration and transition process post-acquisition. Financial modeling and analytical skills will be essential to the position.
What You'll Do
- Assist in evaluating M&A opportunities and coordinating the execution of M&A transactions
- Conduct business valuations, financial analysis and market research
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts
- Collaborate with external advisors for due diligence, corporate structure and legal documentation
- Assist in evaluating investment proposals and development strategies of group companies
- Prepare board paper for M&A, investment and divestment related matters
- Coordinate initial integration and transition process post-acquisition to ensure a smooth transfer of the target to the BU
- Align accounting systems, cash flow models and financial reporting frameworks post-M&A to ensure smooth financial integration
- Collaborate with the BU to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for the transition period
- Provide support and guidance to the BU during the initial integration phase to address any challenges or issues that may arise
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments during the initial integration phase to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Evaluate financial, operational, legal and reputational risks associated with the acquisition/expansion to safeguard the company's interests
- Implement risk monitoring mechanisms and controls to proactively address emerging risks and ensure a successful transition
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
1. Technical and other Relevant Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in audit, accounting, corporate finance or financial planning and analysis, relevant to concerned function is preferred
- Proficient in use of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent command of English and Chinese (including Mandarin), both spoken and written
- High caliber with good business acumen
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge
- Recognized Degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics or related disciplines
- Qualified member of HKICPA (or equivalent) or CFA Level 1
- CFA level 1 preferred
