Position Description
Reporting to Assistant Finance Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the financial month-end / interim / annual closing, as well as the budgetary process of the HAECO Group on the consolidated level. The staff is also engaged in the compilation of the statutory financial statements in compliance with the accounting standards, as well as enhancing the financial consolidation system.
What You'll Do
- Consolidation & analysis of group financial results

- Performing analytical review independently on monthly / interim / annual results, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets submitted by the key group companies
- Liaising with the finance teams of key group companies to understand their financial performance and resolve the reporting issues
- Coaching junior staff and reviewing their deliverables
- Financial reporting compliance

- Working as a team to prepare monthly consolidated financial statements, management reports and audit schedules of the HAECO Group in compliance with statutory and accounting requirements
- Monitoring the latest development in HKFRS to ensure the consolidated financial results complying with the standards
- Providing accounting technical advice to group companies
- Financial consolidation system and process

- Working as a team to review accounting system / process to drive automation and efficiency
- Working closely with various stakeholders to ensure technical compatibility of and support regular enhancements on Tagetik financial consolidation system
What You'll Need
1. Technical and other Relevant Experience
- Strong financial accounting background with solid knowledge of Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRS) and Hong Kong Accounting Standards (HKAS)
- Strong business and financial consolidation system knowledge
- Knowledge in Tagetik financial consolidation system will be an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Excel manipulation and formulae
- Proficient spoken and written English (and a working proficiency in Putonghua being a plus)
- Self-driven and being able to drive changes and improvements
2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge
- Recognised bachelor degree in Accounting
- A qualified member of HKICPA (or equivalent) professionally trained in audit firms, with 3 years or more post-qualification financial accounting / auditing experience
- Candidates with less experience would be considered as Accountant
