Position Description
Reporting to Head of Procurement, the incumbent will lead and manage procurement functions for assigned categories of purchases. He/she supports the procurement related requests/ projects & contract development for HX-HKG and other group companies in Hong Kong.
What You'll Do
- Act as account manager to assigned user department(s) to ensure effective communication to ensure customer satisfaction and manage expectations;
- Conduct cost saving studies and make recommendation on contract development;
- Assist Head of Procurement to manage all procurement activities of the assigned categories;
- Lead team of Officers and Procurement Executives to accomplish assigned tasks.
- To build and lead a team of professional buyers with high quality of work and value-added services to enhance the cost effectiveness;
- To ensure proper corporate governance throughout the procurement activities in a fair, open & impartial way, including policy & procedures compliance and continuous input on any improvement areas;
- To lead the team with good KPI target achievement, including but not limited to, shortening sourcing & processing lead time and cost savings;
- To identify opportunities for execution of procurement strategies;
- To monitor the suppliers’ performance effectively;
What You'll Need
- To supervise the team with high quality of work and implementation of good procurement practices & control;
- To resolve operation problems, enhance cross team communication and review team performance;
- To lead the projects or being contract manager for those purchase recommendation & decision with a longer term and higher financial impact to the company and the group;
- To carry out strategic analysis on data for development of cost saving opportunities and execution of proper risk management;
- To be actively involved in staff engagement initiatives and people management;
- To lead various projects for process improvement & sustainability development;
- Recognized degree in any disciplines, business / management related an advantage;
- Professional qualification in procurement & supply is required;
- Minimum of 8 years of procurement experience (supervisory experience is necessary);
- Product and market knowledge in related category of purchases is an advantage;
- Excellent command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written;
- Candidate with less experience consider to be Assistant Procurement Manager
