Position Description

The position is under MM Stores & Logistics – Tool Rooms Team. The staff lead the Tool Rooms team to manage, coordinate and optimize daily operations to support the aircraft maintenance.

What You'll Do

  • Manage teams of tool room operators for day-to-day operations to perform tool receipt & visual check, tool storage, tool loan, tool return to support the maintenance activities.
  • Structure and organize the tool maintenance functions such as tool inspection, repair and calibration.
  • Monitor the progress of the calibration / repair / load test and expedite the outstanding orders.
  • Plan and allocate resources including the manpower and storage space to fulfil operation need.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff.
  • Assure compliance to company and regulatory safety requirements including the working environment, procedures, staff training and personal protection equipment.
  • Work closely with internal / external customers to deliver solutions that meet their needs.
  • Perform occurrence analysis and investigation of related quality audit findings, customer complaints, IOR’s and MOR’s and propose corrective and preventive action plan. Liaise with internal and external parties for case follow up.
  • Conduct continuous review, plan and evaluate tool room activities, workflow, cost effectiveness, KPI achievement, staff performance and development.
  • Implement process improvement projects and prepare progress reports.

What You'll Need

Functional and other Relevant Experience

  • Degree in supply chain management, logistics, aviation or relevant disciplines
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience, preferably in supply chain / aviation industry
  • Excellent knowledge in supply chain operations / aviation

 

Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Excellent communication, supervisory and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership and negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Good in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge in Lean / Six Sigma / 5S / ISO an advantage
