Material Management Specialist (Receiving & Inspection)

Position Description
Lead, manage, and optimize daily stores and logistics operations for spares and tools, ensuring efficient and cost-effective flow of materials throughout the supply chain.
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise the Receiving Team in efficiently receiving inbound shipments from external logistics providers, ensuring accurate quantity checks.
- Supervise the Inspection Team in performing thorough physical inspections and verifying certificates to guarantee all received parts are in good condition.
- Maintain detailed receiving and inspection records for accurate inventory management.
- Identify and address discrepancies in shipments promptly, initiating returns for damaged or incorrect materials.
- Collaborate with suppliers and logistics providers to resolve receiving and inspection issues. Stay updated on industry best practices for receiving and inspection procedures.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes to improve receiving and inspection efficiency.
- Train team members on proper receiving and inspection techniques to ensure quality control.
- Ensure the receiving area is safe, clean, and organized for efficient operations.
- Utilize data analysis to identify trends and implement improvements in receiving and inspection processes.
What You'll Need
Technical and other Relevant Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant supply chain management experience, preferably in the aviation industry.
- Experience in aviation spares/tools receiving & inspection and/or dangerous goods handling is preferable.
- Experience in leading a sizable team.
- FAA/EASA/CAD Aircraft Maintenance Licence holder is an advantage.
Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or relevant disciplines.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma / 5S Management is an advantage.
- Professional accreditation in Project Management / Supply Chain Management / Quality Assurance is an advantage.
