Position Description
Key position in the Centre of Excellence, which is a joint Cathay and HAECO planning and support organization.
Reporting to the Manager, COE Planning & Control, the Head of Section, Production Planning and Control is for the control of the PPC group covering planning and packaging activities, allocation of resources and discipline according to the planning led principle to ensure controlled execution of the maintenance plan
What You'll Do
- Co-ordinate with customer on agreed manhours and aircraft schedules ground time.
- Co-ordinate with internal parties and customer to establish a workable daily workload plan for all LM CXG team.
- Ensure the workload plan is being followed by production team and facilitate manpower rearrangement due to ad hoc situations.
- Continually monitor and ensure the OTP is on track.
- Ensure customer satisfaction as measured by contractual KPIs. Reduce the task deferral and late exit maintenance as two of the major objectives.
- Development and control of departmental procedures.
- Coordinating with customers for agreed manhour standards and aircraft scheduled ground times.
- Discussion with LM Production for manpower balancing due to casualty or other ad hoc situations, ensure the recovery plan with detailed arrangements is established and broadcast to all stakeholders.
- Scheduling and planning of work into Line Maintenance (LM) taking into account aircraft flight schedule, resources and technical considerations.
- Co-ordinate and scheduling specialist support to maintenance work in LM for both planned and ad hoc scenario.
- Facilitate the communication with CX for operational decision that consider the impact to CX and its customers.
- Attending appropriate meetings with customer and production teams to review forthcoming work.
- Ensure all work cards, work sheets and supporting documents are released to production in a timely manner to support work accomplishment.
- Support LM Manager Planning and Control for development of departmental polices.
- Collection and analysis of maintenance and production related data and generation of statistical supports and analysis.
- Perform special duties assigned by the superiors.
What You'll Need
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in aviation industry. Previous experience and working knowledge of production planning would be an advantage.
- Ability to manage large teams of people.
- Ability to manage a complex operation and prioritization.
- Proven capability to influence across internal and external stakeholders to assertively drive operational excellence.
- Ability to communicate calmly and politely but very assertively with customer and internal stakeholders.
- Understanding of HAECO planning, defect management and front-line production processes.
- Ability to manage and influence customer.
- High level of customer focus and dedication to providing customer satisfaction.
- Ability to anticipate the needs, concerns and priorities of the customer.
- Commitment to continuous improvement of HAECO service delivery.
- Knowledge of the principles of continuous improvement and ability to use data to diagnose operational performance issues.
- Ability to present complex information to the customer to ensure they are focused where they need to be to collectively deliver the best possible operation.
- Ability to rapidly assimilate and process large quantities of information and make high quality decisions.
