Position Description
The Head of Corporate Procurement and Governance is responsible for leading the Group’s corporate procurement strategy and strengthening the procurement operating model across HAECO Group.
The role oversees category management, procurement governance and Group-wide initiatives that support business objectives, reduce total cost of ownership, strengthen Group synergies, and leverage strategic purchasing power.
The incumbent will enable effective collaboration across business units and procurement stakeholders, support the execution of approved category strategies, strengthen procurement controls, and support spend forecasting and section budgeting.
What You'll Do
- Lead Group corporate procurement governance, policies and processes to support an effective and consistent procurement organization.
- Provide practical procurement guidance that promotes sustainable, fair and compliant practices across the Group.
- Develop and oversee the Group category management framework, ensuring category strategies are aligned with business objectives and deliver value across the organization.
- Identify strategic procurement and category opportunities that reduce total cost of ownership, improve sourcing effectiveness, and support long-term business needs.
- Monitor adoption of Group procurement standards and address gaps in implementation or compliance.
- Promote Group and regional procurement synergies by leveraging strategic purchasing power across Group companies.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among business units, Group companies, procurement teams, and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective execution of procurement strategies.
- Support sourcing effectiveness, process efficiency, lead time improvement and cost savings through procurement performance management.
- Support corporate spend analysis, spend forecasting and section budgeting to inform procurement planning and financial discipline.
- Embed sustainability considerations into procurement decision-making, supplier engagement and category planning.
What You'll Need
1. Technical and other Relevant Experience
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of procurement experience or relevant management experience.
- Proven experience in corporate procurement, category management, procurement governance, sourcing, supplier management, and procurement process improvement.
- Experience leading cross-functional procurement initiatives, Group-level projects, and regional procurement activities.
- Experience developing procurement policies, processes, governance frameworks, and category strategies.
- Experience in corporate spend analysis, spend forecasting and section budgeting is preferred.
- Product and market knowledge in related categories of purchase is an advantage.
2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge
- Degree-qualified in technical, financial, commercial, or related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification in business, finance, law, or a related discipline is preferred, such as MBA, Master’s degree, or Master in Law.
- Professional qualification in procurement and supply is preferred.
- Fluent in English; good command of Chinese, including Mandarin and/or Cantonese, is an advantage.
