HAECO Engineering Trainee Programme
The HAECO Engineering Trainee Programme is a 4-year structured programme designed for fresh graduates who are passionate about aviation and have an engineering background. The programme helps trainees build a strong foundation and grow into aircraft maintenance professionals.
During the programme, Engineering Trainees will be mainly assigned to one designated department, where they will spend most of their time learning, gaining hands-on experience, and developing job-related skills. To help trainees better understand HAECO’s overall business, the programme also includes short-term job rotations and exposure opportunities in other operational areas.
These exposure opportunities may include Base Maintenance, Line Maintenance, Production Planning, Technical Services, and hands-on experience at maintenance hangars or ramp areas. The purpose of these rotations is to give trainees a broader view of how different teams work together, while keeping a clear focus on their home department.
After successfully completing the programme, trainees will continue their career in their assigned operation unit, with further development towards professional roles such as engineering support, maintenance scheduling, or production planning.

What You'll Need
- A recognised Engineering degree (in relevant discipline*)
- Fresh graduates or graduates with less than 3 years’ work experience
- Strong interest in building a professional engineering career in aviation
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self‑motivated, analytical, and innovative mindset
- A strong team player
Participants with *academic qualifications recognised by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) may undergo HKIE accredited Scheme “A” Training under Aircraft Discipline. For graduates studying outside Hong Kong, please check with HKIE for information on Scheme “A” accreditation programme.
