Position Description
The HAECO Quality Department’s Quality Surveyor Trainee Programme is designed to develop recent graduates into qualified Quality Surveyors, responsible for aircraft surveillance, internal audits, and occurrence investigations, through a structured training programme.
What You'll Do
- Report to the Quality Manager or Assistant Quality Manager, as defined in the departmental organisational chart.
- Assigned by the Quality Manager to work as an assistant to the Quality Surveyor (QS) and to perform duties under the Graduate Quality Surveyor (GQS) training and development programme in order to attain the core competencies of Assistant Quality Surveyor (AQS).
- Perform duties under the supervision of the Quality Surveyor, in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in conducting internal audits and operational surveillance within assigned operational areas.
- Assist in external audit activities, including audits conducted by National Aviation Authorities (NAA) and customers.
- Assist in performing vendor audits and Group Quality Assurance (QA) audits.
- Prepare, draft and maintain company manuals, procedures, Quality Notices and Quality Advisories.
- Assist in licence and authorisation application and assessment processes.
- Assist in event and occurrence investigations, including preparation of investigation reports and verification of corrective and preventive action implementation.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation packages for application and renewal of regulatory and customer approvals.
- Assist in the vendor assessment process.
- Assist in the administration and audit of the Capability List.
- Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders on quality related matters as assigned.
- Perform roster duties for aircraft surveillance programmes, night audits, event investigations and special projects outside normal office hours in accordance with duty requirements.
- Carry out additional projects or tasks as assigned by management.
What You'll Need
Academic / Professional Qualifications
- A recognised Degree in Engineering related disciplines; or
- An Associate Degree or Higher Diploma; or
- An Aircraft Maintenance Licence, Maintenance Authorisation, or Design Authorisation.

- Strong safety mindset with sound compliance awareness.
- Self motivated and good team player.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Language Skills
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Ability to communicate in Putonghua is an advantage.
