Based at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), HAECO Hong Kong offer a full range of services including airframe services, line services, component services, engine services, inventory technical management, cabin solutions, freighter conversions, technical training and AOG support.

Position Description

Reporting to General Manager Finance, the incumbent will lead the operation and control function in Finance Department, to provide below accounting services to the HK operations, achieving efficient delivery and robust internal control.  

  • Billing & accounts receivable
  • Accounts payable & cashier
  • Fixed assets & inventory
  • Payroll

What You'll Do

  • Manage a team of 20 staff, supported by 2 assistant finance managers, to maintain a motivated team with good morale and people-oriented culture
  • Drive efficiency improvements by streamlining and automating processes of the related functions
  • Develop internal control policy and procedures, and report control related matters
  • Review and maintain business continuity plan for Finance Department
  • Manage systems upgrade projects for the related finance functions
  • Liaise with internal departments and auditors on operation / control related matters
  • Perform any ad hoc projects assigned by senior management
  • Ensure a stable, safe and optimal quality of financial operation

 

Billing & Accounts Receivable:

  • Ensure preparation of accurate invoices to customers in the shortest time
  • Monitor and drive billing effectiveness by liaising with production and commercial departments through regular meetings
  • Chair regular meetings with commercial department and oversee debt collection efficiency

Accounts Payable & Cashier

  • Ensure invoices are paid to suppliers in the agreed credit term
  • Exercise proper control on payment approval including authorization schedule

Fixed Assets & Inventory

  • Manage and control capital expenditure approval process
  • Maintain proper records of fixed assets and inventory, and adherence to stock obsolescence policy

Payroll:

  • Ensure all timely and accurate salary payments with proper control
  • Ensure compliance with payroll related laws and regulations including taxation
  • Participate in system development with HR for a more efficient payroll process

What You'll Need

1. Technical and other Relevant Experience

  • Experience in accounting services gained from commercial organisations an advantage
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Analytical, energetic and resourceful
  • Self-driven and able to drive changes and improvements

2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

  • Recognised degree in Accounting / Finance or related disciplines
  • Qualified member of HKICPA (or equivalent)
  • 10 years of relevant experience in accounting / financial planning and analysis, with 7 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written
