Position Description

The Category Manager for Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) Services & Equipment will lead strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives across key categories including maintenance services, ground support equipment, tooling, and specialized MRO-related assets. This role is central to optimizing supplier performance, driving cost efficiencies, and supporting operational excellence across the HAECO Group. With deep expertise in aviation MRO operations, the Category Manager will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure sourcing strategies align with technical requirements, regulatory standards.

This role is critical in driving cost efficiencies, ensuring supply chain reliability, and maintaining compliance with aviation industry standards. The successful candidate will bring deep category expertise, market insight, and supplier management skills to optimize procurement strategies and deliver value across the HAECO Group.

What You'll Do

  • Involve in Category assessment to identify potential opportunities within assigned category
  • Assess organizational spends on assigned category and possible initiatives that would enable cost saving for multiple HAECO entities
  • Evaluate potential suppliers/vendors who can meet required safety, quality guidelines and be a part of our supplier database
  • Launch Tenders/bids with suppliers eventually leading to contracts to realise savings identified in the initiatives
  • Monitoring of category assigned to evaluate Group contract performances (in assigned category) and identify potential scope improvements and/or contract expansions with regular feedback to relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver reports on category performance and metrics to group procurement heads

What You'll Need

1. Technical and other Relevant Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, aviation procurement and related roles
  • Experience in the aviation industry (preferable)
  • Experience in developing supplier/vendor contract, end to end contract cycle management and demonstrable commercial acumen/experience
  • Experience in contract development, negotiations and business/financial analysis

2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

  • Bachelor Degree in Aircraft Maintenance or, Procurement or Supply Chain or, Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) Certification (Level 4), or Equivalent
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written. Other languages are an advantage.
