Position Description
The Category Manager for Corporate Services & Non-Aviation Materials will lead procurement strategy and execution across a diverse range of categories including facility management, professional services, office supplies, and other indirect spend areas not directly tied to aviation operations.
This role is key to driving value, improving supplier performance, and ensuring cost-effective sourcing while maintaining service quality and compliance with corporate standards. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders across departments to align procurement strategies with business needs.
What You'll Do
- Cost-Saving Initiatives: Develop and implement strategies at group level to achieve cost savings across assigned categories, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers to optimize performance, negotiate better terms, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the procurement categories
- Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, and delivery
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to align procurement strategies with organizational needs
- Supplier Development: Identify and collaborate with suppliers to enhance their capabilities and drive continuous improvement in the supply chain
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on cost savings, and strategic initiatives
What You'll Need
1. Technical and other Relevant Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, corporate procurement and related roles
- Experience in the aviation industry (preferable)
- Experience in developing supplier/vendor contract, end to end contract cycle management and demonstrable commercial acumen/experience
- Experience in contract development, negotiations and business/financial analysis
2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge
- Bachelor Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain or, Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) Certification (Level 4), or Equivalent
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written. Other languages are an advantage.
