Position Description
The COE AOG Controller is responsible for the management of recovery events for AOG, late exit maintenance and significant inbound defect to maximise aircraft availability. This is a key role in HAECO’s Centre of Excellence which delivers world class line maintenance service to Cathay Pacific.

The job holder will be an experienced aircraft line maintenance professional with operational or planning background.

What You'll Do
- Ensure safety and compliance for the maintenance activities within the AOG, late exit maintenance or significant inbound defect event.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain details of the AOG or Late exit maintenance or significant inbound defect event.
- Assess the technical issues of the events, provide solution recommendations and discuss with stakeholders to determine the best course of action to return aircraft to service.
- Align with CX Integrated Operation Centre and other stakeholders for the recovery plan of the AOG, late exit maintenance or significant inbound defect event to establish ETS (estimated time of serviceability) for the aircraft.
- Continually monitor recovery progress and ensure the ETS is on track or improved.
- Provide clear, unambiguous and complete handover of work to next shift.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering to the required KPI standards.
- Comply AOG and Late exit maintenance summary for data capturing to facilitate continuous improvement.
What You'll Need
- Minimum of 10 years of maintenance experience in aviation industry, previous experience and working knowledge in a maintenance control function would be an advantage.
- Proven work experience in the field of aircraft maintenance with strong analytical and problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to rapidly assess information, consider options and arrive at the optimum operational decision.
- Proven capability to influence across internal and external stakeholders to assertively drive operational excellence.
- Ability to communicate calmly and politely but very assertively with customer and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage a complex operation and prioritization.
- High level of customer focus and dedication to providing customer satisfaction.
- Ability to rapidly assimilate and process large quantities of information and make high quality decisions.
- Ability to present complex information to the customer to ensure they are focused where they need to be to collectively deliver the best possible operation.
- Ability to anticipate the needs, concerns and priorities of the customer.
- Commitment to continuous improvement of HAECO service delivery.
- Decisiveness and assertiveness.
- Shift work is required.
