Position Description

Oversee and manage Material Planning and Projects teams to establish and maintain effective forecasting/planning model for aircraft materials and timely issue of Purchase Orders to support maintenance operations.

What You'll Do

•    Maintain adequate supply of aircraft materials while optimizing inventory holding.
•    Monitor material profitability by continuous evaluation, review and optimization of inventory turns, service levels and inventory levels.
•    Work with Procurement and Production departments to develop and execute appropriate actions for obsolete inventory and surplus stock.
•    Manage Purchasing team to plan and monitor open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and be able to meet stocking requirements. 
•    Work with Purchasing team to monitor suppliers’ performance to assess ability to meet delivery requirements.
•    Ensure proper procedures and internal controls are in place.
•    Establish and maintain financial budget for inventory planning.
•    Manage team performance for compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Need

  • A recognized Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Management or related disciplines
  • A Degree in other disciplines but with equivalent related working experience may be considered
  • A minimum of 10 years relevant experience, preferably in aviation industry
  • Excellent material planning, supply chain and purchasing knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge in aircraft spares sourcing process
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent coaching and supervisory skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good PC skills with Microsoft Office applications preferred
  • Able to work independently and make logical judgment under pressure
  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of company IT System
