Assistant Manager, Data & Analytics

Position Description

As a member of the ERP Solutions team, the Assistant Manager, Data & Analytics is responsible for supporting the development and day-to-day management of HAECO TT’s enterprise data architecture, data governance framework, and information management practices.

The role acts as the primary bridge between TT and Group IT’s Data Platform Programme, ensuring local business requirements, analytics needs, reporting priorities, operational data requirements, and AI initiatives are aligned with the enterprise data strategy.

The role supports the development of data governance, ownership, stewardship, quality, metadata, lineage, and analytics readiness capabilities to establish trusted, reusable, and scalable enterprise data assets that support business operations, reporting, analytics, and future AI adoption.

What You'll Do

• Support the definition and maintenance of enterprise data architecture principles, standards, patterns, and governance frameworks across operational, reporting, analytics, and AI environments.
• Support and help mature data governance practices covering data ownership, stewardship, metadata management, lineage, quality management, and lifecycle governance.
• Act as a key coordination point between TT and Group IT Data Platform Programme to ensure alignment of local and enterprise data strategies.
• Improve analytics readiness by strengthening data quality, consistency, availability, accessibility, and reusability across the organization.
• Support AI data readiness assessments covering data quality, lineage, privacy, security, access control, and responsible use considerations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, application teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors to build trusted, secure, and scalable enterprise data capabilities.
• Define data integration, information flow, and enterprise reporting architecture requirements.
• Evaluate data platform technologies and enterprise data solutions.
• Promote data literacy and data governance awareness.
• Monitor emerging trends in enterprise data management, analytics platforms, and AI readiness.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

What You'll Need

• 8–12 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 3 years in data architecture, data governance, analytics platform design, or technical leadership roles.
• Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Management, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, data modelling, data integration, data quality management, metadata management, and governance practices.
• Experience working with business data owners, application teams, and delivery teams to establish enterprise data standards and governance controls.
• Experience supporting analytics platforms, enterprise reporting, business intelligence, or data platform initiatives.
• Knowledge of master data management, reference data management, data lineage, data cataloguing, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, Databricks, Data Lakehouse architecture, Power BI, Dataverse, or equivalent enterprise platforms would be advantageous.
• Awareness of AI data readiness, AI governance, Responsible AI, and enterprise data requirements for AI-enabled solutions.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.
