Assistant Finance Manager

Position Description
Reporting to FM and supervise the team to prepare the month end closing and financial reports for the Company timely. Acting as the finance business partner for business units to support them to perform financial analysis and strategic decisions, and to prepare budgeting and forecasting.
What You'll Do
- Financial business partnering
- Partner with the business units to develop financial awareness and business strategies
- Provide business performance analysis and strategic financial insight to support management decision making and ensure their understanding of the drivers of performance
- Execute business improvement initiatives with business units to streamline and enhance daily operation effectiveness and efficiency for improving profitability
- Financial analysis
- Prepare monthly, interim, annual financial results and management reports of the Company complying with accounting standards and regulations
- Deliver insightful variance analysis on the Company’s financial performance and provide strategic insights to management
- Provide technical accounting advice in RFP, contract renewals and new projects to achieve the business goals
- Liaise with internal and external auditors and engage in annual and interim audits
- Financial planning
- Prepare the annual budgeting, 10-year plan and forecasting on a regular basis
- Lead the team to partner with business units and cost owners to review forecast and budget numbers and assist with any other ad hoc budget analysis
- Financial system and process
- Maintain the financial system, and the interfaces with ERP system and business intelligence system
- Involve in the system or process enhancement
- Enforce internal controls for ensuring corporate governance, including policy and procedure reviews
- The above scope is not only for HAECO HK, but also covers branch and other BUs not under HAECO HK
What You'll Need
- A recognised Degree in Accounting / Finance or related disciplines
- A qualified member of HKICPA (or equivalent), with 5 years of post-qualification experience in audit, accounting, treasury or financial planning and analysis, relevant to concerned function is preferred
- Strong accounting background with solid knowledge of HKFRS and HKAS
- Experience in SAP system will be an advantage
- Experience in system implementation will be an advantage
- Self-motivated and initiative to drive improvement
- Good business acumen
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Good leadership and management skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Powerpoint
- Good command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written
