Position Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Asset Management Specialist to lead the creation, implementation, and management of an asset management system that will encompass a wide variety of asset types, including maintenance stands, ground support equipment, calibrated tools, and other critical equipment and facilities within an MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environment. The specialist will ensure that the system is designed to align with ISO 55001 standards and is capable of managing the full lifecycle of diverse asset categories. Upon successful implementation, the individual will take ownership of the system to ensure its sustained performance, optimization, and alignment with organizational needs.
 

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design, setup, and implementation of the asset management system.
  • Define and implement asset hierarchies and classifications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to collect asset data and establish performance monitoring processes.
  • Customize workflows and procedures for asset management.
  • Ensure the system supports preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Conduct reviews and gap analyses for ISO 55001 compliance.
  • Develop and maintain asset policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Serve as the system owner post-implementation.
  • Provide training and technical support to end-users.
  • Develop and generate reports on asset utilization, performance, and costs.
     

What You'll Need

1. Technical and other Relevant Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in asset management, maintenance operations, or MRO environments, with experience managing assets across multiple categories (e.g., tools, equipment, facilities).
  • Strong understanding of ISO 55001 standards and their application to asset management systems.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing asset management software/tools (e.g., CMMS, EAM, or similar platforms).
  • Familiarity with a wide range of asset types, including maintenance stands, ground support equipment**, **calibrated tools**, and **facilities infrastructure**.  
  • Ability to develop workflows, asset hierarchies, and maintenance strategies for diverse asset categories.
  • Strong data management skills, including asset data collection, reporting, and analytics.


2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Certifications in Asset Management (e.g., IAM Certificate or Diploma, CAMA).
  • Experience in the MRO industry or related environments with exposure to managing diverse asset categories.
  • Knowledge of IT systems integration and database management.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
