Position Description


Assisting in daily treasury operations including funding and liquidity planning.

What You'll Do

 

  • Assist in daily treasury operations including funding and liquidity planning, deposit placement, loan administration, fund transfers and foreign exchange
  • Assist in determining the daily funding plan
  • Bookkeeping of all treasury related transactions for month end closing
  • Work as a team to prepare cashflow forecast on a regular basis to support funding/liquidity management
  • Prepare regular treasury reports to facilitate management decision making
  • Liaise with banks on KYC, account opening, bank signatories update and audit confirmation
  • Prepare audit schedules and assist in answering financial auditors’ queries
  • Assist in reviewing loan documentation and ISDA documents
  • Liaise and maintain good relationships with banks
  • Monitor the Group’s compliance with treasury policies
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of treasury policies, procedures, reporting and systems, ensuring alignment with industry best practices
  • Perform other ad hoc reporting and treasury-related projects

What You'll Need


1. Functional and other Relevant Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting field
  • Keen in developing a career in accounting and finance
  • Detail-oriented and committed to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to manage multiple assignments
  • Good business acumen and a team player
  • Strong communication skills and analytical skills
  • Knowledge in Tagetik system and HSBC.net will be an advantage


2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

  • Recognised degree in Accounting / Finance or related disciplines
  • Chartered Accountant preferred
  • Chartered Accountant students could be considered as an Assistant Accountant where they have passed their second set of exams
  • Proficient spoken and written English (and a working proficiency in Putonghua and Cantonese being a plus)
  • Proficient in use of MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Immediate availability will be an advantage
